Ontario Caribbean Hub — how we keep the directory useful and safe. Not legal advice; see Terms and Privacy.

Everyone

• Be respectful of all islands and backgrounds — the Hub is for the whole diaspora and allies in Ontario.
• Do not post hate, harassment, or discrimination.
• Do not impersonate a business, charity, or person.
• Confirm hours, prices, tickets, and credentials yourself before you pay anyone.
• Use Report for scams, wrong hours, or misleading posts.

Community Exchange

• Give / Want / Volunteer — personal and community use; no paid classifieds or commercial inventory dumps.
• Meet in public places for pickups; bring a friend when you can.
• No e-transfer before pickup — Hub does not hold money or goods.
• Do not post weapons, illegal items, or adult services.

Charities & drives

• Only registered organizations or authorized representatives may post as Charity.
• Provide a valid CRA business number (BN) or registration proof when asked.
• Donation links may point off-app; we do not process donations in the Hub.
• Hurricane and emergency Alerts are curated — follow official government sources for life safety.

Businesses & events

• Claim only listings you own or are authorized to manage.
• Featured placement is paid and labeled; it is not an endorsement of quality.
• Fetes and ticketed events: state 18+ or age limits when applicable; buyers must confirm with the venue.
• Job posts: no upfront fees, passport seizure, or “pay to work” schemes — we remove scam patterns.

Enforcement

We may remove content, reject submissions, or suspend accounts that break these rules. Appeals: info@ethicaltechsolutions.com.
